I finally figured out a way to cover up my hair 5w30 hair. I also bought one for my Negge. Maybe this will lure her to come out here again - What she see's in Terre Haute - is beyond me.

Ramble shamble.

So, I have been on this huge musical exploration. My music selection has varied greatly. From Shpongle>Xavier Rudd>Humble Pie>Phish>The Samples>Joni Mitchell. It is amazing how much music influences my moods. It liberates me...helps me get through the day. As weird, odd as that might sound - it does. It always has.. it's the most reliable, solid "friend" in my life. The weave of the melody, words, harmony ... Whether I am in a somber, angry, happy, solemn, spaztic music identifies my mood.
I am currently in the process of restoring the music/cd's I have lost throughout the years of college and moving. It's quite a journey. What a certain song, album, group signify at a certain time in my life. I find that I am going back to my "roots." It brings back beautiful memories as to when - the biggest worry in my life was who I was going to play tag with... Earlier on I was influenced by the greats: Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Doors, Yes, Kansas. A special thanks to my father - perhaps the sole bond we now have..
I have had such an amazing life - a pleathora of colors. The ardurous times - all well worth it - but I guess I am still searching for the ultimate goal. College was the time in my life in which - I did the typical self exploration and discovery. Do I regret it? Ah, not worth worring about. I know I have met a myriad amount of people. All with unique personalities and experiences. Some brought out the worse and others phenomenal friendships and memories..
LP, Mark, Ann, Matt, and even Tony. Time will tell. Not much remains of my high school peers - but Kelly will always be a statue in my life, as well as her family. Life is funny. Never did I ever imagine I would be living in California, working, and living the life that I live. Sure, I have my somber moments, but in hindsight this journey has been a phenomenonal journey towards the independence I have always wanted.

Bitch is going to Brew!

What a random day. I had a presentation/software demo today with some engineers and while I was waiting around for the meeting I drove past beer, beer, and more beer warehouse. So obviously, I stopped in and nearly peed myself in delight. The pictures are some of the stuff I bought (thank goodness pay day, whew!)
Anyways, to the left is ingredients for an American IPA and the other stuff well.. I am not quite sure. HA! The instructions are pretty money - 6 hours for 2 cases of fresh home made beer.
On top of that, I am going to start selling my beer belts, purses, tables, crates at the warehouse! They are going to let me put them on consignment and go from there. I am totally stoked!
It's pretty ridiculous, I have a bbq grill, stellar computer/speakers, yet still no furniture. Priorities - obviously!

Life is short...

I got some sad news today... One of the principles that I have been working with for about 6 months now suddenly passed away. Meaning - our last contact was friday and then this afternoon I recieved an email about his passing.
It really makes me really sad.. I spent a substantial amount of time with him, learning the ropes. He took me under his wing and really taught me a lot. He was so close to retirement and so excited to move to Maine and spend the rest of his days fishing - I guess he will, just somewhere else..

:( Oh well.. I guess the old adage, live everyday as if it was your last - holds true.

I will miss you Cliff. :/

Sunshine & Sound

I hate to start off with such a cliche' intro, but what a stellar weekend!! This weekend was definitely needed - after a crazy work week driving across the state to Reno, NV, to the middle of the state and then around the bay..
Friday was nerd heaven. I hooked up my external drive and then reformatted my pc, while enjoying ol' faithful: sierra nevada.
Saturday I spent the morning sailing along the bay with my boss and his daughter. I introduced them to the jewish reggae sensation - Matisyahu. (or as Elliot and I called him, "Matt.")
It's a pretty amazing feeling, maybe it's just because I am a midwesterner adjusting to this California lifestyle, but going sailing in the end of February and getting a sun kissed face... I don't know. The water was as smooth as silk. While we were sailing, we spotted a bald eagle. We heard a chirp and looked up and a nest was a top a massive light post. I wish I had my camera - well at least a better zoom len.. Maybe after I do my taxes, HA!

Later that night, I met up with Elliot and we went to see Keller Williams at the Filmore. Once, I figure out this blog stuff I will post some pics. Everyone was so friendly, excellent beer on tap, and they gave you apples! Keller was amazing - when I saw him play with SCI (Kellar Incident)way back when, I really couldn't fully appreciate his talent. But last night, he truly blew me away! What a talented individual.. I don't know if it is just getting older, but my appreciation for music, heck life is incessantly growing.
Enough rambling, I am off to enjoy the rest of my weekend. Cheers! :)
